Facial Liposuction
Even those with a healthy diet and active lifestyle can suffer from stubborn fatty deposits around the cheeks, jaw line, and neck. Many patients in the Dallas Metroplex turn to facial liposuction in order to sculpt the face and neck and create a more youthful appearance. As a cosmetic surgeon with over 30 years of experience, Dr. Weinstein performs facial liposuction with a high level of skill and expertise.
Liposuction is a surgical procedure that permanently removes unwanted fat cells. After puberty, the body does not create many new fat cells; rather, it expands the fat cells already present in the body. For this reason, removing the unwanted fat cells via liposuction delivers permanent results. Weight gain will affect only the remaining fat cells; no new fat cells will form to replace those that have been surgically removed. Facial liposuction is often performed in conjunction with other procedures such as Contour Threadlift, genioplasty, blepharoplasty, or a brow lift for optimal results.
Dr. Weinstein will consult with you to determine whether facial liposuction will achieve your personal goals.

Who are the best candidates for this treatment?
Patients who have localized fatty deposits in facial areas such as under the eyes, chin, and neck may be good candidates for facial liposuction if they meet the following criteria:
- Patients must be in good health
- Fatty deposits must be disproportionate to the rest of the face
- Skin is in good condition and has maintained elasticity
- Patients have realistic goals and expectations about the benefits of the procedure
Is fat removal permanent?
Yes. Fat which is removed from the body is not replaced by new fat cells. After puberty, the body no longer produces new fat cells. Remaining fat cells can be enlarged through weight gain, but no new cells will form in the treated areas.
How many procedures are required?
One procedure is usually all that is necessary. Some patients require subsequent procedures in order to fine-tune results.
How much recovery time is necessary?
Facial liposuction involves a surgical procedure which will require a few small sutures. Patients may be required to wear a pressure dressing for a time after surgery. Swelling and bruising are common. Most patients are able to return to normal activities after about 2 to 4 days.
