Botox® Cosmetic is formulated from a purified protein that possesses the unique ability to block nerve impulses in the muscle. In the area of application, the skin surface gradually smoothes out and the lines begin to fade. Treatment takes about 10 minutes, requires a few tiny injections, and results are visible within 7 to 10 days following treatment. The effects can last for up to four months, however for best results, we recommend treatments every 2 ½ to 3 months.

Today, the most common area treated with Botox is glabellar lines at the base of the forehead near the bridge of the nose. Botox will eliminate forehead wrinkles and or “crow’s feet” on the side of the eyes. We also use Botox to elevate the corners of downturned lips, minimizing “marionette lines.”
